Hunt for real models

Ahead of its annual Autumn Style Show, Telford Shopping Centre is on the hunt for real models to be the face of the new season’s latest trends.

Men and women of Shropshire who fancy themselves as the next David Gandy or Robyn Lawley can enter a competition to play a starring role in the shopping centre’s Real People, Real Style campaign.

Celebrating true beauty in all shapes and sizes, the Real People, Real Style competition is offering local people the chance to take centre stage in a professional fashion photoshoot, complete with a full makeover and £250 to spend in the centre. The winners will be revealed to the public as part of the Style Show stage advertising from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th October.

Shoppers will be encouraged to enter via the website at by completing an entry form and uploading it with two photographs – a headshot and full view.

Alternatively, they can enter by visiting the Real People, Real Style photo area by House of Fraser on either Saturday 25 July or Sunday 2 August between 10 am and 4 pm, where the Shopping Centre Team will be on hand to take your photos and help you complete your forms.

Tracy Hadley, Marketing and Events Manager at Telford Shopping Centre, said: “The Style Show is a source of inspiration for shoppers, as they look to refresh their wardrobes and update their own personal style with the latest trends.

“Through the models and creative used, we have always designed the Style Show to represent “real” people and encourage people to be body confident.  This competition offers the chance for some of our customers to have a makeover and be dressed in the latest Autumn Styles, and also to have their photos taken and their images used as the backdrop for the next Style Show. By doing this we aim to continue to inspire shoppers of any age group, size and shape to look great in the latest trends.”
