Have your say on Ironbridge Footpaths

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]There are repairs planned in the New Year for footways in The Wharfage, Tontine Hill and High Street.

The council will put up a gazebo and consultation boards on Tontine Hill adjacent to the Iron Bridge itself for residents to have a look at the plans. Samples of the materials that will be used will also be available for people to view.

The planned work is likely to happen either side of Easter with a two week gap for the holiday period. It will cost £380,000, which is being provided by the Local Sustainable Transport Fund.

  • The BBC website mentions making The Wharfage ‘one way’. What does this mean? Surely not permanently, there’s no sensible alternative route. Does it mean alternative direction working controlled by traffic lights during the work?
