Local Groups Invited to Apply for Cash

The EnviroGrant funding scheme is part of the added value bought to the borough through Veolia’s contract with Telford & Wrekin Council. In the latest round of grants, 17 community groups took away cheques to the value of over £11k.

Steve Mitchell, Director Midlands West for Veolia, said: “These groups work hard to make a positive difference in their communities, it’s inspiring to meet them and we are pleased to be able to support them as part of our work in the borough.”

Councillor Angela McClements said: “Local organisations can apply for a grant of up to £1000 for projects based in the borough of Telford and Wrekin. The form is really easy to complete and Veolia and Telford & Wrekin Council want these funds to go to where they are needed the most. I am delighted to have met so many dedicated groups this evening who are making a real difference to their communities”.

If you would like to apply to next round of the EnviroGrant Scheme you can do so now. Deadline for applications is 31 July 2017 and application forms are available to download from
