Stirchley of Liberty

Stirchley of Liberty

Mystery surrounds the sudden appearance of a new piece of unofficial public art in Telford.

A 8 foot tall replica of the World famous Statue of Liberty suddenly appeared at Homer Lake this week and no one seems to know how or why.

The lady is sporting a cheeky wink and holding an A to Z map book as she watches the passing traffic on its way from Aqueduct to Stichley along the A442 Queensway.

Have you seen it?

Haven’t noticed it but I’m guessing the message is that the powers that be need a lesson in liberty.
