It’s gone. As suddenly as it appeared, it disappeared. It represented all that was good about subversive art, crafted from the sweat and pocket of the unknown artist and christened The Stirchley of Liberty.
Along with the Smiley Rock of Trench Lock and Dawleywood, the Stirchley of Liberty has been consigned to the annals of Telfords history. A future post in Telford Memories and the lowest moment in the Shropshire Stars newsgathering operation.
