Next month will be the first ever History Day event in the parish of Lawley and Overdale organised by Lawley and Overdale Local History Group.

There will be displays, photos and info on the Parish and from the group and members including mining memorbillia shared by Richard Hewer along with Stewart Braddock, the latter from the Granville Boys.

War Historians Dave Shaw (Dawley’s Lost Generation) and Neil Evans (Shropshire Remembers) will be sharing their interests and research and a display from Shirley Bruneau for Old Park. Ketley History Group will be also taking part. Plus a cafe for refreshments.

All vistors and parishioners are encouraged to come along to support it!

Organisers would be especially happy to see any photos or documents or memories about any of the communities from the Parish’s past.
