New train operator brings hope to travel weary Telford travellers.

New train operator brings hope to travel weary Telford travellers.

The franchise to operate many train services between Shrewsbury & Birmingham has been won by an experienced consortium.

London Midland cease running services in October when West Midland Trains Ltd take over.

What will this mean for Telford folks?
-New Sunday services
-Better info screens at stations
-Smart tickets
-Free WiFi on trains from 2019

The company have also promised one billion pounds of investment. We just hope some of this trickles down into more carriages between Telford & New Street.

Hopefully better timetables. At Wellington they’re at :45 the hour then on the hour with a 45 minute gap until the next.

Please more carriages on both London Midland and arriva with an additional service. 11 years of commuter hell and further investment urgently required.

London Midland have already put wifi on other services in the Midlands, clear now why they haven’t bothered on the Shrewsbury-Birmingham service if they’re stopping it in October!
