Cat-astrophe averted by Fire & Rescue Service

It was a day to remember for Luna the cat to forget when, after a scuffle with another moggy she took refuge in a Priorslee tree.

Unable to get down, Luna’s owner, Steven Davies, enlisted the help of the RSPCA and Shropshire Fire & Rescue to reach up and retrieve her.

“She’s a sweetheart. We heard her having a scuffle with a local cat, she must of been scared and ran up the tree to get away & got stuck ☹️”

Using ladders & balls of steel, the fire fighters brought Luna back down to earth where she is getting back to her normal self.

“Credit to our awesome Fire Brigade & the RSPCA Shropshire, especially Sophie who was absolutely great!”

What a great story! Just what I needed to lift me up today. The compassion needed to rescue a distressed animal and help out it’s owners it beautiful to see. I do think however that the most incredible character in this story is the fireman’s mustache.
