    Waiting to pick my son up from school . When I saw the planes hit the towers I thought it was from a movie! The day the world changed

    Was working at Ricoh at the time and had just been outside for a sneaky cigarette midway thru shift and went to watch the tv.

    I was at work at Hager and a colleague had news open on her PC …. we thought it was a spoof video 🙁

    Was on maternity leave standing in my Mums lounge watching daytime TV nursing my child as it was happening couldn’t believe what I was seeing, will never forget that day. So so tragic RIP to all the fallen

    I was at t cat walking into my form room someone told me the twin towers had been blown up my first thought was it doesn’t matter there knocking Wembley down anyway how much I didn’t know

    Myself and friends had just got back from lunch. We worked at Scoot UK Ltd at Town at the time. We got back to work and the call centre had gone crazy. We were inundated with calls from concerned people.

    Don’t think anyone will ever forget what we where doing this very sad day.. RIP to all. Thoughts are with all those loved ones left behind 17years ago.

    I was working for kwiksave in Penn, wolverhampton when I was told about it. Didn’t understand the extent of it til I saw the tv pictures

    I was in my office at Nursery catching up on paperwork, listening to the radio when the news broke….. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

    There were problems with the water supply in Brookside so our school was closed. I was at my nan’s house with my cousins and one of them turned on the news and said “oh my god a plane has flown into the twin towers.” None of us had any idea what the twin towers were or the significance of it. Then we watched the second plane fly into the towers live on the news. I learnt a lot that day
