Yet another local bank to close

Yet another local bank to close

Lloyds Bank have announced that their Madeley branch will close for good due to decreasing numbers of transactions made by customers.

As we do more online, the banks are constantly reviewing the profitability of branches, resulting in an ever-decreasing number.

What does the future hold when you have to physically go into a branch to sort out a problem or pay a cheque in?

Post offices are providing a simple deposit and withdrawal service for a number of bank brands such as Santander and RBS Nat West, but is this enough?

Would you change banks based on the convenience of having a branch locally?

No bank in Dawley no bank in Madeley shortly. Means a trip to the town centre and more costs just to get access to your money. If you pop to town centre its 1.50 parking at least for a few mins to go to thr bank

It would be really courteous if they had let their customers know this, that forces us to go to Telford centre, thus involving a parking charge to withdraw your money or have banking assistance.
