THEFTPolice are appealing for information after thieves stole cash from an elderly woman's handbag.The 89 year-old had been to Lloyds TSB in Wellington before going into Cashino in New Street.While she was in there, she noticed three females, who were also in the bank at the same time as her.One of the females started to talk to her, while the other two stood close by.The girls left the premises and minutes later the woman noticed that the cash she had withdrawn from the bank had been stolen.A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "The elderly woman had withdrawn a few hundred pounds from her account and had put it in a secure compartment of her handbag."However she was distracted by three females and it was discovered minutes later that the cash had been stolen."The woman is distraught by what happened and we would appeal to anyone with information about this theft to contact us."Officers are making a number of enquiries, including examining CCTV."The incident happened between 10.30am and 10.50am on Saturday.(June 6)The three females are described as Asian, aged in their late teens to early 20's. They were all dressed in black and one of them was wearing a hat.Information should be passed to Police at Telford on 0300 333 3000 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.BURGLARYAn appeal for information has been made after thieves broke into a development site and stole keys, a computer and a camera.The break-in happened at The Millennium Village in Holyhead Road in Ketley between 6.15pm on Sunday(June 7) and 7.45am on Monday.(June 8)Thieves forced their way into locked premises on the development site and carried out a search of the office and a show home.Items including a digital camera and a desktop computer were stolen from within.Anyone with information about the break-in should contact Police at Telford on 0300 333 3000 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.NON-STOP RTCPolice are appealing for information following a non-stop road traffic collision.The collision occurred at Marlborough Road in Hadley at around 11.30pm on Sunday.(June 7)A small white van was in collision with a parked vehicle.Damage was caused to the parked vehicle.Anyone with information about the incident should contact Police at Telford on 0300 333 3000.
