Code Club Training Session
March 1 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Join Tim Wilson, Code Club Coordinator for the West Midlands for a free interactive training session in Telford on Thursday 1st March to find out how to get involved with Code Club.
Code Club is a nationwide network of after-school coding clubs for young people aged 9–13. Our clubs are led by volunteers and educators, and this training session will give you all the information you need to start running a Code Club.
You do not need to have any prior knowledge of coding or teaching to join this session.
The training will cover:
An introduction to Code Club
How to start a club in a library, a school, or another community venue
Essential information on safeguarding
A chance to learn coding basics while getting hands-on with Scratch and the Code Club projects
Who is the training for?
Adults (16+) who would like to learn some coding basics from Scratch
Anyone who is considering hosting or volunteering at a Code Club and would like some more information before they get started
Anyone who has signed up as a volunteer but has not yet started running a Code Club
Refreshments will be provided.
