Wellington Spring Festival: 50 Tree Walk
May 4 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Dothill Local Nature Reserve
50 TREE WALK TO CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF TELFORD.
The Friends of Dothill Local Nature Reserve, will start the walk outside Admaston House, Wellington Road, TF5 0BN. 10.00am on Friday 4th. May 2018. Stout footwear required.
Join us to open our new walk at Dothill Local Nature Reserve, looking at 50 different trees, to mark 50 years of Telford. See trees that will live for 3000 years and are the largest living organisms in the plant and animal kingdoms.
Wonder at a tree only known from fossil records but now living happily on the reserve.
See a tree that became quite rare in Britain during the middle ages because of its popularity with archers and learn which trees were used to ward off witches plus many other interesting facts about trees.
Please note that since this was added to the calendar stuff may have changed. It’s not my fault, it just happens sometimes.
