Wild about Autumn – Tracks and Trails – Lightmoor

October 30, 2015 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Discover how to become an expert mammal tracker. Put your detective skills to the test as you look for signs of wildlife in the woodland. Complete our mammal tracking trail and earn your mammal detective award!

Join us for a wild morning. Help us looks for signs of wildlife in the woodland, discover tracks and trails left behind in the dead of the night! Learn how to track mammals and give Ray Mears a run for his money. Participate in our wild mammal detective game and earn yourself a reward! Build habitat piles to help hedgehogs find a suitable place for hibernation and learn more about these fascinating creatures.

This event is during ‘Wild about gardens’ week. Here at Shropshire Wildlife Trust we want to raise awareness and help increase the number of hedgehogs in Shropshire since their decline. We are passionate about working with communities to promote ideas that can be taken back into your own garden and be replicated. We are also passionate about protecting the ‘wild child’ and we want to inspire children to engage with nature around them. We want to work together to ensure that that hedgehogs don’t disappear from our wild children’s future.
