Lucy Allan First Confirmed Candidate for Telford
Lucy Allan First Confirmed Candidate for Telford
Arriving in Telford in 2013, Conservative Lucy fought and won the Telford seat from three times winner, David Wright in the 2015 General Election.
From Lucys page; “”I am honoured to have been re selected by Telford Conservatives as the Conservative candidate to contest the 2017 General Election on 8th June. It has been the greatest privilege to serve as Telford’s MP for the last two years. I hope that Telford residents will allow me the opportunity to serve them to the best of my ability and to continue to be their voice in Westminster, campaigning on the issues that matter most to our community. Telford is a fantastic place to live, work and raise a family, but there is more work to do to secure Telford’s future.”
“It is vital for Telford’s success that the country has strong stable leadership to see us through the Brexit negotiations and beyond. Theresa May has demonstrated that she understands Telford and can address our needs and concerns and can deliver the leadership the country needs.”
The selection process was not a foregone conclusion, and Lucy won the majority of the members votes.
She sure as hell won’t be getting my vote.
How disappointing. We deserve better.
I would be very surprised if she gets voted back in.
It’s frustrating that they picked someone that isn’t a resident of the constituency.
Won’t be getting my vote not a chance
Not a blinking chance, she lied she back stabbed and she abused her own member of staff, as far as im concerned id be happy to see her collecting her P45
She’s of questionable character to say the very least. Disgraceful.
I just hope everyone remembers what she did when it comes to voting?
Don’t knock my Door
Never ever seen her in telford
Bloody useless, won’t be getting my vote
She only shows her face when it’s elections
She is a liar. She will not get my vote.
Everytime a tory says strong and stable think cheese and horses and replace with weak and wobbly. #imvotinglabour
Don’t forget she is also a fox hunting supporter and has said she will vote to repeal the “hunting with dogs” act, which makes me loathe her even more.
Well I’m not voting her back in, she’s a sandwich short of a picnic. Has David Wright stepped up? Cus I will vote for him, if not I ain’t got a clue who to vote for.
Won’t be get.ting my vote, why the hell make the effort for someone who’s done nothing for Telford
I would vote for just about anyone else other than this person…put her out of her cushy job…she done nothing for Telford
Let’s prey she doesn’t get keep her seat.
Career politician who has no interest in the people of Telford.
There is absolutely no way Lucy Allen doesn’t take it up the wrong ‘un. Just look at that face.
“Telford is a fantastic place to live, work and raise a family” says the woman who doesn’t live in Telford………..
That’s true as well she has a house in my brothers road but she does not live in it.
People will be voting for Theresa May not Lucy Allen because Corbyn is the biggest joke
And there’s the dilemma. If you don’t want Lucy Allan as your MP, you’re going to have to vote for the candidate who is most likely to beat her. Historically around here that’s Labour; in 2015 the LibDems failed to turn up in the Telford constituency, and UKIP are a busted flush.
So, voters have to disregard the national picture, and focus on the local issue. Remember, voting Conservative or Labour is not a vote for May or Corbyn. We don’t have a directly-elected Prime Minister, and the chances of us electing a Labour MP in Telford and returning Corbyn as Prime Minister are about as slim as me winning the lottery.
It’s tactical voting time. Is Telford ready to vote tactically to get rid of a sitting MP who, if you make opinions based upon social media coverage, is more unpopular than Attila the Hun ?
I am very disappointed in the, in my opinion, worthless platitudes, lack of effort and compassion from Lucy Allan and her office when I approached her for help. My case, re the lack of adapted housing and the lack of equality in access to such property, was deemed so serious by disability charities that it was one used in the recent submission by Disability Rights UK to the UN on the breaches of the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.
Sadly, I was not surprised by the lack of help given Ms Allan’s voting history on disability issues where she has consistently voted to cut support.
After my own experiences of Lucy Allan and seeing what she has and has not done over the last two years, needless to say I will not be voting for her.
