Veggie & Vegan Artisan Market
You’re invited to a Veggies and Vegans Artisan Market taking place in Wellington’s Market Square on Saturday 20th May 2017.
Come along and meet Shropshire Veggies, Vegans, talented cooks, ethical producers, makers and bakers from the county and beyond.
In eight centuries of trading history there has never been a Vegetarian Market staged in Wellington Town Centre.
The event aims to attract an audience of ‘veggie’ followers but everyone is welcome to come along to the tastings and giveaways to see & savour the wealth of flavours, choices and varieties.
The organisers are working alongside the National Vegetarian Society, celebrating and promoting vegetarianism and attracting the wider vegetarian community alongside the ‘veggie-curious’ with the many people unaware of the benefits who will consider beginning their own ‘health & lifestyle’ journey as a consequence of this event
The Fest includes food tasting street tables and plenty of great free veggie recipes for visitors and shoppers to take away.
Members of the Shropshire Veggie & Vegan group will be on hand to answer any questions that visitors have about veganism and there will be free vegan starter kits for people who want to make changes in their life.
Visitors will be able to connect with the experts, the cooks and the makers who will be handing out Recipe Cards & Information Flyers to help visitors new to the concept of veggie lifestyles take away inspiration for cooking and shopping in a new way.
A street party atmosphere will pervade with music and entertainment that includes a Tombola Stall and Human Carrot Statue for fun selfies.
Trade Stands Include:
Vegan Grindhouse Street Food, Butterbelle, British Quinoa, Healthy Living, Nature’s Kitchen, Zainz Catering & Bean Pedalling Organic Coffee. Shropshire Veggies & Vegans are providing trade and information with free tastings of Coconut Milk, Sweet Giveaways and ‘Sheeses’ from Bute Island as well as vegan fashion & cosmetics.
