Cllr Shaun Davies responded “During a recent inspection a number of safety issues were identified which are being resolved by the council.
As part of Telford @ 50 a £1m Legacy Fund has been created. A scheme to improve this area has been put forward by members of the public.
There are number of others issues here such as poor maintenance and lack of basic works – all of which are on government land.
To this end the Relevant government departments are being contacted by myself.”
Returns like this need to come under the umbrella of that £2m umbrella. We can’t celebrate a town in ruin. We deserve better and so does the town.
The bit over the bridge from the old Asda looks like that too. It’s like they hope nature will just completely take over. It’s really weird.

What a shame it used to look lovely. ☹️
Like the rest of Telford gone to shit
Open your eyes and you will find that is not the case!
It’s disgraceful that this area has deteriorated so much! It’s a popular route from the Bridge retail park to the town centre and should never have been neglected. Let’s hope they spend some money sprucing it up soon!

It looks horrid.I didn’t visit the last time.
Have not the area since retiring a few years ago o.m.g shocking .
Theres loads of rats about this part of town also
Get the dole dossers to get off their arses and sort out…earn your keep for a change.
Looks awful perhaps the 2 million they are going to spend on a party to celebrate 50 years of Telford could be spent on cleaning this up
They should move the Telford sign to Southwater
Vortex cleaning could clean this area up.
Hope the fish will be looked after properly
It used to look a lot nicer than this but it was also a lot busier lol
Personally they should be fixing the pot holes on a lot of the roads new houses and factory being built. But the neglected roads feels like going down a country road
Everything ploughed in to Southwater and other areas neglected!
Disgusting spend some bloody money instead of wasting it
Be better to clear
the dossiers and druggies from outside the courts, scary to walk through on your own
