The franchise to operate many train services between Shrewsbury & Birmingham has been won by an experienced consortium.
London Midland cease running services in October when West Midland Trains Ltd take over.
What will this mean for Telford folks?

-Better info screens at stations
-Smart tickets
-Free WiFi on trains from 2019
The company have also promised one billion pounds of investment. We just hope some of this trickles down into more carriages between Telford & New Street.
Hopefully better timetables. At Wellington they’re at :45 the hour then on the hour with a 45 minute gap until the next.

Please more carriages on both London Midland and arriva with an additional service. 11 years of commuter hell and further investment urgently required.
London Midland have already put wifi on other services in the Midlands, clear now why they haven’t bothered on the Shrewsbury-Birmingham service if they’re stopping it in October!
I thought the takeover was in December rather than October.

Tried getting ticket telford to London next week . Expensive . Going from Stafford for 3 of us 24 pound coming back London to telford virgin 36 pound . Hours spent trying to find cheapest way . London midland telford to wolves 20 pound for 3 yet pay 30 more go to london on virgin .
