Urban Archery comes to Telford
Team GB Archer, Patrick Huston, is about to open the first Urban Archery in the county.
Probably the best comparison to be made is like Game of Thrones paintball!
I caught up with Patrick a few weeks back and found out a bit more about him and the project.
Coming from Belfast and living in Telford, Patrick is not your average 21 year old. He lives for winning. A more driven individual I have yet to meet. Coached in archery by his school teacher who happened to be a former longbow champion herself, Patrick started entering local competitions and national ones. And winning.
He soon found himself as the UKs number one and trains with the Olympic team at Lilleshall. This is where I met him to find out more about Urban Archery.
“If you like paintball, you’ll love this. It’s ideal for letting off a bit of steam with friends. If you’ve ever fancied shooting your boss with an arrow, you can call it team building and give it a go!”
The special foam tipped arrows hurt less than a paintball, but you definately know when you’ve been hit.
Groups, couples or even go on your own and have a go at Telfords newest sport in Madeley.
