Raise it to 25 so voters have got some experience of real life here they vote. There is too much political influence on school children when they’re too young to make their minds up and it takes a healthy dose of reality to counteract it.
I think yes they should, but that schools and colleges should ‘approve’ or sponsor them first after they’ve had some education on what their vote means. Maybe that will encourage more education on the subject in general
We should leave it how it is!!! The older generations are doing an absolutely brilliant job of choosing our leaders (and running the country for that matter! Well when they’re not busy being investigated for sex crimes in the 70s). Why bring in those stupid youngsters who don’t know anything about the world, unlike older people who know everything, and never let their glorified view of the past cloud their judgement. When I was younger I was an naive too (although despite that, young people NOW shouldn’t be allowed to be!).

Yes I think they should if schools give lessons in politics
Stupid idea! I could see it now.. Dan who are you voting for?… the guy who sneezed and it looked like a dab… sick idea bro I’ll vote for him too
Most definitely not. Corbyn will bribe with false promises.
Politics will be influenced by some you tuber who has no idea of the real world.
Yes.
Yes, at 16 you can work, pay income tax and pay NI contributions, as such you should have a vote – simples.

Old enough to make the decision have sex and make babies-old enough to vote.

If 16 year olds are made to chose what they want to do for the rest of their lives at 16 then why can’t they vote? They can join our armed forces.
