Journalism under threat: Ten reasons we love what we do
A free press is vital to a healthy democracy both at a national and local level. The Shropshire Star is proud of its unbiased reporting of important news stories and its role within the community of Shropshire.
I stopped buying the Star because of its tory bias. It’s shameful!!!
“Unbiased?”. Oh how we laughed. “Investigative journalism?” You mean you submitted a FOI request. I think the Star has been taking lessons from our MP on how to blow your own trumpet.
This building will be a housing estate within five years….. calling it.
It’s a paper that tries to be everything to all, and fails miserably.
Most reporting appears to be ‘cut & paste’, days late, with poor Grammer & spelling.
Sport wise, if people in Telford want to read about Wolves, Villa or the Blues, let them look it up, report the scores by all means, but focus on local teams.
Plus, at 70p per day……….. Really?
