Stuart Taylor (retired lecturer, Telford College)
Stuart Taylor (retired lecturer, Telford College)
I shared the retirement of Stuart Taylor in January 2017 and many ex-students joined Stuart at the Cock Hotel in Wellington to celebrate a long teaching career.
With immeasurable sadness, we now share that Stuart passed away suddenly on the 30 August aged 67 years after returning home from a week’s holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.
A celebration of Stuart’s life will take place on Tuesday 25 September at 3:30pm at Telford Crematorium.
Anyone who knew Stuart is welcome to attend

Lucy Downing do you remember this guy
He taught me A level sociology, then the Institute of Welfare Officers Diploma as a mature student. I met him a few years ago at New Street station and he remembered me. I ditched my travelling companions to sit with him for the journey back to Telford. He was my favourite lecturer, such a lovely man.
Very sorry to hear the news. I worked under Stuart when I first started teaching in Further Education and we always got on really well together.
We shared a common interest in Political and Social interests as well as a mutual respect for each others musical tastes.
I have only just heard this sad news. I worked with Stuart when I first started teaching in FE back in 2001.
We always got on well together with a mutual interest in political and social issues . I will remember him with good memories.
