The Wharfage in Ironbridge will be closed to traffic on Monday 7th January from 5-8pm.
The BBC One Show are coming to Ironbridge to broadcast live from the Iron Bridge to mark the completion of English Heritage’s Conservation Project.
English Heritage have been keen to showcase Ironbridge and have been working with local groups to promote the Gorge and to celebrate the success of their largest Conservation project to date with the local community.
To ensure the event is managed safely a road closure has been agreed along the Wharfage as advised below.
The road closure will commence on Monday 7th January at 17:00pm until 20:00pm along High Street, Tontine Hill and The Wharfage, Ironbridge.
Cllr Nicola Lowery, Borough Councillor for the Ironbridge Gorge said: “Monday evening should be a great celebration to mark the completion of English Heritage’s Conservation project.
It was decided to put a short road closure in place on Monday evening to ensure that public safety can be effectively managed for this event as the Wharfage is an extremely busy road”.
