Collision causing major delays in Telford

‪A crash on Wombridge Way on the junction between the EP/A442/Queensway island and the island with the Telford Motors Peugeot dealer island is causing delays.

A witness says ‘accident looks terrible lots of fireman around the car two appliances and an ambulance‬’. Another witness has described it as a ‘horror crash’

    At 16:22 on Thursday, 13 June, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Telford.

    3 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

    Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

    Cutters/Spreaders
    Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

    Road traffic collision involving three cars, one person trapped, released using Holmatro cutting equipment, seven walking wounded, casualties treated by ambulance personnel

    That road needs traffic calming measures put in place trying to pull out that junction is a nightmare when cars are coming down well over the 40mph limit

      I totally agree with traffic calming needed. The speed limits are well over by some drivers. I use this Road daily and I’ve had some narrow escapes with very fast vehicles. Please do something before it happens again!!!!

    Awful junction, blind spot as looking right from that junction and cars speed up over the speed limit. Hope who are involved are OK x

    Ppl need to slow down and look I’ve nearly been hit a few times ppl also need to use indicators hope everyone is ok
