It’s a latte different than before. Can this be the future of banks?

The Nationwide at Telford Shopping Centre has had a refit, and it looks more a trendy coffee shop, than a bank.

Gone are the barriers and stuffy counters, the new style offers Scandinavian style meeting spaces and stylish furniture.

Simon Rutter branch manager at Nationwide Building Society’s Telford branch said: ‘We’re really pleased to be reopening our fully refurbished branch. With the new 4C design we’ll be able to offer a better member experience, with a more spacious branch and enhanced benefits for members.

‘We recognise the changing needs of members and the ways in which we can help them in today’s busy lifestyles. Some of our members like interacting face-to-face with our people, that’s why we’re rolling out new formats with larger areas for open plan meetings and private pods for those who prefer more privacy. We also have the technology such as tablets for customers who want the ability to self-serve’.

Yes or no?
