Hey, it’s Dieticians Week at your local Hospital.

Hey, it’s Dieticians Week at your local Hospital.

In the week that saw Shrewsbury Hospital celebrate the work of Dieticians, the kitchens served this to an inpatient from Telford.

The patient told Telford Live that they were unable to eat the food.

It’s believed to be a piece of chicken, and a pair of potatoes in gravy, but we are still waiting for the results from pathology.

SaTH have been approached for a comment but wanted too much information that could have identified the patient, before investigating. I’m not sure if they thought the patient might have smuggled it in and this is an elaborate hoax, but I can assure you it’s very real and was served up on Sunday.

The good news is that the patient is making good recovery, no doubt spurred on by the thought of a cheeky Nandos on the way back home.

Personally, I don’t believe that…. or more that it might have been a mistake that would have been corrected. There’s no way that was the “meal” for every patient.

Looks very similar to the meals I had in Shrewsbury hospital when I had my little boy. Absolutely disgusting

I believe more per head is spent on prisoners than in-patients. Looking at that, I’d probably guess five times as much.

English food. What did you expect? “What’s the blandest thing on the menu?”

I stayed in the Princess royal for just over a week when my daughter was born. We were both cared for amazingly, the food was wonderful and we were blessed to have it all for free, as the NHS provides this for us all as I’m sure you’re aware. I work and pay my taxes but I’m sure many moaning actually don’t……How about stop moaning about a plate of fucking gravy and thank god we have free healthcare?

Maybe the patient forgot to tick the vegetable option when ordering?
