£150k Investment in Telford pub
The Thomas Botfield at Telford Shopping Centre, Telfords oldest Wetherspoons, is closing on the 11th August for a week to finalise the refurbishment, and reopens on the 19th.
This is the first refurb of the pub, which opened around 2006, and is named after the local ironmaker.
Like all ‘spoons pubs, the carpets are unique to each location and the one here, features an autumnal mix of leaves and brown stripes, along with years worth of trodden in peas.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “ The Thomas Botfield is an extremely popular pub.
“We want to ensure that we offer our customers the best possible pub and therefore we are carrying out this work to upgrade the pub.”
One regular said “It’s looking tired but has been open roughly 15 years so it has stood the test of time.”
