Carriageway cleared after crash

Fire crews from Telford Central and Wellington attended a two-car crash on the A442 Queensway this evening. The incident was reported to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) at 5.20 pm.

Two fire appliances and the Rescue Tender were mobilised to the scene.

The crews arrived to find that all persons involved had managed to get out of their vehicles before the fire service arrived.

Firefighters used a winch to move the vehicles from the carriageway. They also used small gear to make the cars electrically safe.

The police were also in attendance at the scene.

Crews were finished with the incident and the stop message was received by SFRS Fire Control at 5.52 pm.
