AFC Telford Utd through to play-off finals

In a thrilling battle, AFC Telford Utd overcame Halesowen Town at the Seah Stadium last night to earn their spot in the play-off finals.

After going down by a goal after 22 minutes from the visitors, the Bucks fought back. Two goals in quick succession from Dylan Allen-Hadley and Orrin Pendley, the home side went in at half time a goal ahead at 2-1.

Halesowen Town hit back in the 75th minute with an equaliser, but that was followed by Matty Stenson finding the net just 2 minutes later. The Bucks held on and the game finished at 3-2.

The win means that Telford progress to the play-off final on Monday to face Kettering Town who finished second in the Southern League – Premier Central for a place in the National League.

After a record breaking season at the Bucks for top scorer Matty Stenson, the game promises to be an exciting clash, and a chance to put the narrow defeat against Leamington in the play-offs last season to bed.

AFC Telford Utd make the trip on Monday 5th May 2025 for a 3pm kick off Latimer Park.
