Final stretch for LeJog pair
Barry Ince is 70 years old and from Shifnal and John McBride is 65 years old, and they are now on the last stretch of their LeJog Challenge and are due to reach John O’Groats iconic sign post on Sunday afternoon. They’ve deliberately chosen some of the hardest terrain possible, tackling iconic and gruelling routes such as the South West Coastal Path, Offa’s Dyke, the Pennine Way, the West Highland Way, and more.
They even chose to climb Ben Nevis on their only rest day they had schedule on 13th May before continuing their journey.
To add to the challenge, once they complete LEJoG, Barry and John are taking part in the Cateran Yomp – a 54-mile hike across the Cairngorms in just 24 hours – proving that their determination knows no limits.
They also met Telford Mayor Ian Preece who came out to see them when they passed through Ironbridge on 13th April.
So far, they’ve raised £13,944.16
