Police investigate as man dies in Edgmond

Officers attended Chetwynd Road in Edgmond, near Newport at around 12.40pm on Sunday 4 May, following a report of concern for safety.

Emergency services attended the scene where a man, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead.

People may see an increase in police presence in the area as enquiries are carried out.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
