WWII Weekend returns to Dale End Park
One of the most impressive displays of WWII re-enactor groups makes a return to Coalbrookdale at the end of the month.
The two-day event will host weaponry, vehicles and displays from Allies and Axis forces and it’s free for visitors to enter.
Visitors can expect the sounds, smells and sights of the 1940s and get up close to the equipment.
Displays will include motorcycles, armoured transport, classic cars and vans and uniforms of the era, as well as speaking to the history group members to learn more.
The event was a risk earlier in the year due to lack of funding, but last month, the organisers confirmed that the event would go ahead.
Park and Ride at the top of Jiggers Bank is open for the event as parking will be at a premium in Ironbridge.
On the Saturday, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Avro Lancaster will perform a fly past, subject to weather.
The event takes place on the 24th & 25th May and is free to enter during the day.
