Affordable housing among issues raised with MP

Shaun Davies, the Member of Parliament for Telford, conducted his most recent surgery in Woodside on Friday evening, meeting with residents.

The event allowed constituents to raise issues and discuss matters concerning Telford with the MP.

Topics brought forward by residents included the Assisted Dying Bill, affordable housing, and SEND Education. The surgery in Woodside offered a setting for constituents to present their concerns to their Member of Parliament.

Over the past year, Shaun Davies has assisted approximately 6,000 Telford residents with various issues.

Shaun Davies stated: “Supporting residents and representing Telford is central to my role. Meeting the people I represent and engaging in face-to-face conversations is important. Hearing individual stories, concerns, and ideas directly informs my work.”

Klaudio Bari, a Telford resident, commented: “I had a conversation with our MP regarding an issue that is currently significant to us. Shaun spoke with both me and my son, and I value his input. I would recommend booking an appointment for help or advice.”

Shaun Davies added: “Thank you to everyone who attended this evening.”

Davies’s next scheduled event is a coffee morning with organisations including Telford & Wrekin Council, West Mercia Police, Citizens Advice, and MIND. This will take place in Ironbridge on Friday, 18th July.

Shaun Davies has met with residents at surgeries and coffee events across Telford over the last year, including in Madeley, Oakengates, Wrockwardine Wood, Ketley, Lawley, and Dawley.
