Dogs rescued from Telford house fire
Amber Watch & Red Watch from Shropshire Fire and Rescue based at Wellington were alerted yesterday lunchtime to reports of a house fire in High Street, Wellington.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the property and quickly extinguished the fire. The firefighters successfully located three dogs and brought them out the property alive and well.
The home was a newly built Wrekin Housing house, not all of the properties on the new estate are completed yet.
An eyewitness told Telford Live that it was thought that an electrical problem caused the fire, and smoke had affected the living room, landing and upstairs.
They said “It was only on fire for half an hour, the builders noticed after 10 minutes of it being on fire. Thankfully nobody hurt or the dogs.”
