Not is all it seems with this poster that appeared at a Telford Park
We’re used to seeing notices from the authorities in areas when crimes have been committed, warning the the area is under surveillance and of the penalties for transgressing the law but when this one appeared in Bowring Park in Wellington, something wasn’t quite right.
Firstly, the Metropolitan Police are the biggest force in the country but even they don’t get up to Telford very often. It’s safe to say that they are not responsible for putting this poster up.
Secondly, the 0345 number is one for Shropshire Council, not Telford and Wrekin. A mistake that would see the council official responsible the lead contributor to the cake fund for at least the next six months.
So who will own up to these ham-fisted attempts to bring law and order to once of the quietest parks in the town?
