The Drop closes with immediate effect

Discount clearance store, The Drop, has closed with immediate effect.

The owners of the store based inside Telford Shopping Centre, announced the closure on Facebook and were telling commenters that they were ‘Unable to reach agreement with the landlord’.

However, on further investigation it was revealed that the company, Catalogue Clearance Limited, could be going into liquidation. 

The annual accounts which were due to be submitted to Companies House in February of this year are still outstanding, and there is an active proposal to strike off the company.

Telford Centre management told Telford Live that the company gave notice to close voluntarily.

Catalogue Clearance are still trading online and from their warehouse in the Midlands. We have approached the company for a comment.
