Big queues as Poundland cashes out

The Poundland store on Forge Retail Park is closing on 19th July, and the half-price sale is attracting lots of savvy shoppers.

One of two Poundland Stores in Telford, the shop had to close early yesterday after being overrun with customers, clogging up the aisles waiting hours to get their trolleys through the packed checkouts.

One customer told Telford Live “I’ve been queuing over an hour. I queued in one part for an hour but it wasn’t budging so I came to another queue.”. Customers were left outside when the shop closed it doors early.

The Poundland inside Telford Shopping Centre is staying open.
