Five year ban for Telford man

A man from Stirchley has been handed a five-year criminal behaviour order, stopping him from entering numerous shops across Telford. Jed Cuthbert, 33, of Carwood, was issued the CBO yesterday, Thursday 24 July, at Telford Magistrates Court.

The order bans Mr Cuthbert from several Co-op stores, including those in Stirchley, Priorslee, St Georges, and Donnington. He is also prohibited from entering Sainsburys in Ketley, B&M on the Forge Retail Park, Aldi in Madeley, and Next, also on the Forge Retail Park.

Beyond these specific locations, the CBO also prevents Mr Cuthbert from refusing to leave any premises or area when asked by an authorised person.

Criminal Behaviour Orders are civil orders used to address persistent anti-social individuals. They are issued under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, for behaviour that has caused alarm, distress, or harassment.

Mr Cuthbert’s CBO will remain in effect until July 2030. Police urge anyone who witnesses him breaching the order or committing an offence to report it immediately via https://orlo.uk/M59Ed. Always call 999 in an emergency.
