Electric motorcycle crash on Telford estate
A rider has crashed their Surron-style electric motorcycle on Brookside Avenue this afternoon.
Police off-road motorbikes, unmarked cars and patrol cars and motorcycle were in attendance along with an ambulance. It is not known if the rider was being pursued by the police at the time of the crash.
An eyewitness on scene shortly after the incident reported that the two officers riding the off-road motorbikes left the scene in a police car, and the rider was taken away in the ambulance after his mum came to the scene.
The road was completely closed for a period of time but is now fully re-open.
West Midlands Ambulance Service told Telford Live “We were called to reports of an RTC involving a motorbike at the junction of Lake End Drive and Brookside Avenue in Telford at 2.16pm and sent an ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene.”
West Mercia Police have been approached for a comment.
