Fantastic first Fan Fest

The inaugural Fan Fest was a huge success today as the Tumbler from Batman rolled into the square in Wellington.

Lots of children and adults came along, some in costume, to participate in the fun.  The event was a joint effort between local businesses and Wellington Town Council.

On the stage, a silly science show, an interview with a star of The Witcher and video game voice, Safiyya Ingar, plus LARPing in the Churchyard were all activities laid on for visitors.

Damian Breeze, manager of the Orbit and one of the organisers said “It was touch and go to get the Batmobile into the square, as it’s three metres wide, but we managed it”.

Adults, kids, superheroes and villains were lining up for photos. The event ran from 10am to 4pm.
