Five-star Telford salon announces closure

After 25 years in the town, Body & Mind salon in Wellington is closing its doors for good. The owner announced the sad news on social media, citing the lasting impact of the pandemic and rising costs as the main reasons for the decision.

The salon, which has been a fixture on the high street for a quarter of a century, will close in a couple of weeks. In her message to clients, owner Anna explained that the beauty industry has changed since Covid-19, with increased overheads and a shift towards more therapists becoming self-employed.

Anna said that being closed for so long during the pandemic and the debt it left behind was the “beginning of the end.” The rising cost of living has also made it difficult to grow the team.

Looking back on the past 25 years, Anna expressed pride in what the salon and its various teams had achieved. She also shared a “massive thank you” to her clients, saying their custom has “meant the world.” A special mention was also given to her team, including Laura, Hayley, Daisy, Enya, and Molly.

Clients with gift vouchers are encouraged to book an appointment as soon as possible and to check the expiry date, as expired vouchers cannot be accepted. Anna hopes to see her clients for one last treatment before the doors close.
