Celebrity football stars heading to Telford
Telford Town FC will host a charity football match featuring a stellar line-up of TV and sports personalities on Sunday 5th October.
The high-profile event is being staged in partnership with Sellebrity Soccer UK to raise vital funds for CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young.
This national charity works to prevent sudden cardiac deaths in young people.
A host of familiar faces from the worlds of sport, entertainment, and television are set to grace the pitch. Confirmed names include TV personality Calum Best and reality favourite Dan Osborne.

Soap fans will be excited to see EastEnders icons Dean Gaffney and Jake Wood (known for playing Max Branning) dust off their boots.
Internet sensation Cal The Dragon is also on the team sheet, alongside Adam Nightingale from MAFS UK. Organisers have confirmed the full official line-up is being finalised and more names will be announced soon.
CRY’s mission is crucial, as at least 12 young people in the UK die suddenly each week from an undiagnosed heart condition. The match aims to highlight the importance of early detection and community education.
Gates open at 1:30 pm for the 3:00 pm kick-off. Telford Town FC is calling on the local community to turn out to enjoy a fun afternoon and support this cause.
