Closing down signs are up at Telford store

Having lurched into administration last week, the health and beauty discounter Bodycare have announced the immediate closure of 32 stores.

Telford wasn’t on the list, but today the store closing signs have gone up at the Bodycare in Telford Shopping Centre.

The Bodycare online shop has already closed, but the chain had 145 physical stores and a workforce of around 1,500 people until it fell into administration.

In July this year, AURELIUS Finance Company completed £7m revolving inventory loan for Bodycare, secured against stock, to try and return the retailer to growth.

Bodycare is owned by Baaj Capital, who acquired the business from the from the founders in 2021.
