Fundraiser started in Telford Firefighters name

Telford Firefighter Chris Short was based at Telford Central fire station but had worked around the midlands and was well known and respected in the service. He tragically passed away suddenly on August 17th, aged just 42 while on a camping trip with his wife and children. 

Chris was a devoted and loving family man who leaves behind his wife Alex and three children

A donation page has been set up to raise money for the Fire Brigades Union in his name.

Chris joined West Midlands Fire Service in 2006 and served at Cradley Heath, Aston and Dudley Fire Stations. 

He transferred to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and was serving at Telford Fire Station. 

Chris was a highly regarded firefighter and was known to bring joy to all those he worked with.

Most importantly he was a devoted and loving family man who leaves behind his wife Alex and three children – Violet aged 12, Poppy aged 12 and Albert aged 6.
