New classes focus on STEM for 2 to 5 year olds
Little scientists and explorers in Telford are in for a treat this term as mums Kirsty and Gillian launch brand-new STEM classes for preschoolers
The sessions are aimed at children aged between 2 and 5. Through storytelling and play, they will explore science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) – often underserved subjects of learning for young children.
Each session is full of hands-on activities like building, experimenting, problem-solving, and finding out how things work.
“Children are natural explorers,” says Gillian, who is a teacher. “We want them to ask questions, try things out, and enjoy learning in a fun way.”
Kirsty, who has experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), adds: “It’s important to us that every child feels welcome. We’re planning smaller SEN groups and sessions for under-2s too, so everyone gets the chance to join in.”
Classes take place at Arleston Community Centre every Wednesday from 9.30-10.15 from 10th September! You can book a space by contacting Kirsty on
