Outdoor theatre series reaches its final show

The last of the Telford Theatre on Tour’s outdoor theatre series for 2025 will be held on Sunday 7 September when The HandleBards perform Much Ado About Nothing at Bowring Park.

The group is a troupe of four actors who carry all their scenery, props and costumes to each venue on their bicycles for an environmentally sustainable production of the Shakespeare classic.

Councillor Angela McClements, the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism, Culture and The Arts, said the season has been “full of laughter, storytelling, and unforgettable moments.”

She added that the upcoming performance is the “perfect way to round off a fantastic season” and that she “can’t wait to welcome everyone to Bowring Park for one last magical evening.”

The production is expected to be high-energy and full of laughter. As it is an outdoor performance, attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic, and to dress for the weather.
