Studio opens in a farm shop courtyard
A Telford business is moving to new premises at a farm shop near the town after landlords created a bespoke space for the firm.
Natalie Jayne Photography will be based in the courtyard at Apley Farm Shop in Norton from September 23. The new studio and gallery has been specifically designed for the company, with landlords at Apley Estate knocking down a wall, installing a sink, and laying new flooring to make the perfect workspace.
Business owner Natalie, 36, has been based in Shifnal since 2013 and said she feels “really fortunate” to be moving. She added that the landlords were “very willing to invest” to enable her to be a long term tenant.
She has now hired Jenny Thompson to help with the new studio and gallery, which will be open seven days a week. The gallery will feature examples of Natalie’s work and she plans to make the space available for local artists to use as a pop-up gallery when she is on holiday.
Natalie, a mum-of-one from Priorslee, said she was made to feel very welcome by other businesses in the courtyard. Linda Harris, Business Development Manager at Apley, added: “We are delighted to welcome Natalie Jayne Photography to our Farm Shop Courtyard. They are a welcome addition to the community here.”
A drop-in open day will be held on Sunday, September 28, where people are invited to look around the new location. You can find more information at njphotography.co.uk.
