Telford taxi drivers to strike over new terms
Partner drivers for private hire platform Veezu are set to strike this week over new rates imposed.
The new rates penalise drivers doing fewer runs, and a spokesperson representing 200 drivers told Telford Live that this would adversely affect drivers specialising in airport runs.
A letter was delivered last week to Veezu offices in Ketley outlining the drivers grievances.
The new terms for drivers started on the first of September, and additional charges were also introduced for passengers travelling at peak times.
Veezu have the biggest number of partner drivers in the town.
