Annual sighthound day success

An annual gathering of sighthounds celebrated globally, was a success here in Telford.

The theme this year was Mythical Mutts, and just under 50 sighthounds took part in the Telford event in Ironbridge.

An important part of this is to raise awareness and help find homes for abandoned greyhounds.

Maggie Lokier from the Greyhound Trust said “We had 3 greyhounds up for rehoming. I walked the lovely Vanessa, a snowflake black greyhound, who only arrived on Friday. She already has someone wanting to give her a home.

“The other two are also lined up with possible homes.”
