Burglary suspect found by police dog

A man has been arrested in the early hours of this morning after police responded to a burglary at a store in Telford Bridge Retail Park.

Multiple calls and a silent alarm alerted officers to an incident at the Oak Furniture Clearance unit just after 2am.

Police attended the scene with multiple units and a dog handler. A search of the retail unit was carried out.

Substantial damage was reportedly done to the building while the suspect gained entry. The area has seen several retail stores targeted recently.

The suspect was located inside the unit by the police dog. A police spokesperson confirmed details of the arrest.

“We were called to Telford Bridge Retail Park at around 1.40am this morning (10 November) following a report of a burglary in progress. Officers attended, including dog handlers, and a 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary. ” they said.

The suspect remains in police custody,
